BRAVADO WINES - Garcia Schwaderer
The Story Behind Bravado Wines

It’s hard to remember when we first started dreaming of a project of our own. It was probably about the time we began sharing our lives back in 2001. And with each year that went by, as we gained experience as professionals and matured as a couple, our desire to start down the road to our dream project continued to grow.

In early 2006 we decided that the time had come. We were respected in our careers and had each developed individual projects that helped us grow, and, perhaps more importantly, we had gained the confidence we needed to identify the vineyards and the fruit that fit the style of wine we wanted to make.

We decided to dive headlong into the project; this was no experiment. We would make our first wine, completely in accordance with our own taste, and then offer our creation to the world.

We wanted to make a wine that would represent both us as winemakers and Chile as a winemaking country, so we chose rich, high-quality fruit from vineyards we knew in some of Chile’s most traditional wine regions, Itata and Maule, and then we added a bit of youth with grapes from Lolol.

The result is our first wine, one that represents the most classic aspects of Chilean wine blended with modernity and the dreams of two winemakers to show a unique view of Chilean wine.

Naked Wines
Online wine market Naked Wines, who supports independent winemakers from around the world, have got behind us to help us grow our business.
Rowan, their Founder, approached us with an interesting business idea back in 2009, which meant we could export to the UK profitably and without risk. And we haven't looked back since!
With the investment of over 27,000 Naked Wine Angels (their customers), we've made new award-winning wines which are exclusive to Naked Wines in the UK.
And the best bit, we get to focus on what we love i.e. making wines rather than selling!

And the happiest and most imperfect people on Earth
